Simple Tempura Batter

INGREDIENTS
110 g Plain flour
Salt
1/2 pt Light beer or lager
INSTRUCTIONS

Make the batter. Sift the flour and salt together into a large bowl. Using
a balloon whisk beat in enough beer to give a thin batter. Do not worry
about lumps as these are an essential part of the batter.

Dip Enoki mushrooms into the batter and deep fry. Other vegetables can be
used, Japanese basil, lotus root, carrot etc.
